Unreal Fendi
Privacy Policy
Effective 24 July 2026
Unreal Fendi (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”) makes UF Command — an onboard computer for Land Rover Defenders — together with the UF Companion mobile app and the UF Portal web application (the “Service”). This policy explains what personal information the Service handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the app, the portal, and the data your UF Command records and uploads.
What we collect
Account and profile
- Email address and sign-in identity. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google we receive your name, email and an account identifier from them — never your password. Email/password credentials are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form.
- Profile details you choose to set: display name, avatar, language, units, currency, country, and privacy level for community features.
Vehicle identity and records
- Vehicle details: VIN, name, photos, and profile attributes (year, colour, engine, wheelbase, tank capacity and similar).
- Recorded driving history from your UF Command: trips and journeys including GPS start/end coordinates and route data, distance, speed statistics, fuel used, altitude and temperature ranges.
- Vehicle telemetry snapshots: odometer, fuel level, battery voltage, engine temperatures, tyre pressures and temperatures, and alert events.
- Records you enter yourself: service history, fuel fill-ups, tyre fitments, modifications, costs, notes, and photos you attach to journeys.
Community content
- Connections, group memberships, forum posts and replies, and vehicle claims or watch requests you file. Visibility follows the privacy level you choose.
Device and diagnostics
- Push notification tokens, app version and device model, and crash / error reports (via Sentry) so we can fix failures. Crash reports may include your user ID and app state at the time of the error.
How we use it
- To operate the Service: render your vehicle’s history, records and alerts to you.
- To deliver notifications you enable (service reminders, refuel confirmations, weekly summaries, community activity).
- To operate community features you take part in.
- To keep a vehicle’s provenance record consistent across ownership claims and transfers.
- To secure, debug and improve the Service.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Location data
Journey and trip locations are recorded by your UF Command while the vehicle is used, and uploaded to your account. The app may convert journey start/end coordinates into place names on your device to label journeys. Companion features that use your phone’s location ask for permission first and work without it.
Who we share it with
- Service providers acting for us: Supabase (database, authentication and storage, hosted in the EU — eu-west-1), Expo (push notifications and app updates), Sentry (crash reporting), and Apple / Google for sign-in.
- Workshops: if you book a vehicle into a participating workshop, the workshop sees the vehicle information needed to do the work, and customer-visible workshop events become part of your vehicle’s record.
- Other users: only what your community privacy settings expose, and vehicle-provenance records where a vehicle changes hands.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Settings), which removes your personal data. Records that form part of a vehicle’s provenance may be retained in a form no longer linked to you, so the vehicle’s history stays truthful for future owners.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under South Africa’s POPIA and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to, or delete your personal information. Contact us at info@unrealfendi.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is scoped per user with row-level security, and device uploads are authenticated with per-device credentials. No system is perfectly secure; we work to protect the Service and will notify you of breaches as the law requires.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and driving-related features assume a licensed driver.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy here and update the effective date. Material changes will be flagged in the app.
